OBAT Helpers is a 501(C) 3, non-profit organization committed to providing aid, education, healthcare access, and economic empowerment to displaced, stranded and refugee populations residing in camps in Bangladesh. OBAT is among the very few serving Bangladesh’s Urdu-speaking camp residents since 2004 and have supported Rohingya refugees with essential services since 2017.Our vision is to create a Bangladesh where everyone, including refugees, internally displaced persons, citizens, migrants, etc, has the opportunity to reach their full potential through access to education and opportunities, where poverty is a thing of the past, and where these residents become positively contributing members of society. Our mission is to equip underserved communities in Bangladesh with the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty. We do this by providing access to quality education and economic empowerment programs, promoting financial independence and inclusive economic growth. Our ultimate goal is to transform individuals and communities from liabilities into assets.
